  • 3 medium very ripe bananas

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 2/3 cup Nutella, divided

Directions

  • Preparation: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving some to hang over two sides, creating a sling. Coat the pan and parchment with cooking spray.
  • Butter Mixture: Melt 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter in the microwave or on the stove. In a large bowl, mash 3 ripe bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 1/4 cup milk, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Dry Ingredients: Combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Layering Batter: Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Using a spoon, dollop 1/3 cup of Nutella over the batter. Swirl it gently into the batter using a skewer or knife. Add the remaining batter and repeat the dolloping and swirling with the remaining 1/3 cup of Nutella.
