New Super Mario Bros Wii

Description

New Super Mario Bros Wii is the second installment in the New Super Mario Bros. series, released for the Nintendo Wii in 2009. Classic gameplay elements like the spin jump and Yoshi riding return from Super Mario World. Serving as a spiritual successor to the 2006 New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS, the game introduces four-player local co-op, allowing players to control Mario, Luigi, Yellow Toad, and Blue Toad.

Plot

While celebrating Princess Peach's birthday, Mario and his friends are surprised by the arrival of a giant cake. Suddenly, the Koopalings and Bowser Jr. burst out of it and trap Peach inside, capturing her. They whisk her away to their airship fortress, prompting Mario, Luigi, and two Toads to give chase. Meanwhile, the other Toads at the castle launch Propeller Suits and Penguin Suits to aid the heroes using a special cannon.

After defeating the Koopalings, Kamek, and Bowser Jr. across each world, the team finally reaches Bowser’s Castle. Upon confronting Bowser, one of the heroes hits a button that drops him into the lava below. They then spot Princess Peach trapped in a cage but it's a trick. The "Peach" is actually Kamek in disguise. He reveals himself and casts a powerful spell that resurrects Bowser, making him grow to an enormous size.

Now pursued by giant Bowser through an ancient, crumbling part of the castle, Mario, Luigi, and the Toads race to escape. Eventually, they reach a massive orange switch beneath the real Princess Peach. One of them activates it, causing the castle to tremble and sending the giant Bowser plummeting into the lava. With Bowser finally defeated, Peach is Safe.
